CAPTAIN DAVE
6/26/2017 11:28:16 amWow!...The winds have been relentless with waves in excess of 4 ft and higher. Sunday was a total blow out with heavy west wind blowing 30+ mph and waves over 6 ft. The forecast this weekend was 2 ft or less....I wish the weatherman would get it right! Saturday was our annual Fathers Day outing with many fish caught in very rough water. Due to the rough water we decided to troll crankbaits and ended up 16 miles from Geneva when everything was said and done. The ride home took 2 hours heading right into the teeth of 5 ft+ waves. Dipsy divers are starting to work with very short leads catching a good number of fish dragging spoons in purple, green, and chartreuse. Hopefully the winds die down this week. Keep the rod tip up and land that walleye of a lifetime. REPLY
